Long years they have been,
away from you I suffer.
Everything!! I have seen,
in darkness I have been utter.
You came,
there was a ray of hope.
You were light,
who brought peace to my soul.
Through the vicissitudes of fate,
I dance like a pendulum.
From bliss to sheer pain.
One moment with you,
in the next I go insane.
Come to me,
take me whole.
I am missing,
in bits and pieces.
Fill me up,
complete me.

Awesome gal :) Hair raising indeed! Great going..keep it up. May Sai bless u always:)
isnt he the best?
nice poem gal!
may he inspire u to write more
The thing that I really loved abt the poem is the content and flow. There's something magical ( as well as scary ) about it.
It also doubles as the lyrics to an epic rock song :D ..
Once again.. keep writing.
nice one pallavi....well written it definitely is!!
but more so...surprisingly senti for the 'super cool' girl:)
Hey Pals... everyone praising the blog.. so I thought why not be a little critical :)
I think its only been 1 year... but I guess months seem years when u go through these things.
"vicissitudes of fate" - is from V for Vendetta's intro monologue... too big a word for poetry... breaks the flow :)
These apart... u really miss him dont u.. don't worry... someone better's there...
And i never expected this kind of intensity from you... Nice surprise.. a whole new side to your persona...
Keep writing :)
@wordsworth...
dude i guess i needed that criticim ha:p.
Sorry to dissapont you,but mortals arent worthy enough for that kinda intensity.
And ..get to know me better;)
I definitely like this one. Particularly the line "I dance like a pendulum.. from bliss to sheer pain" . I cannot agree more than this with you. man !! you are some poet.. To have my 'invaluable' comments, please make your blogs even more interesting :p .. naah just kidding..
btw, how does it feel being in 'bliss' ? I am planning to be in bliss all day today ;)
I am pleasantly surprised. That was quality writing. I do not have the knowledge or the aptitude to comment on poems. Yet I could feel that there was distinct class in the write up. I am a bit (nay totally) in the dark about the person being immortalized in the poem. Please do introduce me if it’s not a problem.
hey, nice stuff.
dint know that ur a poetess also.....
keep posting.
Ok, I will be frank. In first go, I was really looking for Sai Baba's Name mentioned somewhere. These are pretty deep thoughts, I have heard a lot about your faith in Sai Baba. I really feel He is taking care of you. Remember how disturbed you were some time back, CAT/GRE/WORK..I guess He is helping in deciding what to do next. You even thought the trip wont be that great, but ultimately it turned out to be. I am happy for you.
Very nice poem, I also agree with Rahul B Rao, dont have the aptitude to understand it but after a few readings I got hold of your idea.
Good .
Take care.
hmm..nice one...the poet inside awakes when one has deep thoughts abt sth..
Man that was good...left an impression...
Wonder what was the inspiration...these things dont make themselves up you know :)
psst...i have a poem of yours with me...will post it sometime as mine :-D
Keep 'em coming!!!
